| Roof
Trusses are a rigid, strong framework made up of wooden
bottom chords, top chords, and inside webbing. The top chords serve as roof rafters.

|
There are several significant advantages
to using roof trusses:
- All the engineering is done before construction, ensuring
proper flow of loads through the building.
- Using today's software, it is easier to create hip,
valley or more complex roof systems.
- Money is saved by reducing installation time.
- Trusses can be used on a variety of on-center spacings,
to optimize strength and lumber resources.
- Long clear spans are easy to create, reducing or eliminating
the need for interior bearing walls, beams and columns.
- Structures are dried in more quickly, saving time and
avoiding weather-related delays.
- Your imagination is the only limit when you design with
trusses.
