Current Positions:

Civil Engineer

Job Description: To review truss layouts and individual designs to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Seal truss designs to be submitted to building designers and engineers. Work with contractors, architects and engineers to solve pre-design and jobsite issues that affect truss design and stability. Work with truss technicians to ensure accuracy and local code acceptance.

Qualifications:

  • Civil Engineering or equivalent degree from and accredited four-year university.
  • Requires seal in Louisiana.
  • AutoCAD experience a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills a necessity.
  • Must possess an ability to analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Must possess an ability to work effectivly in a project team environment and handle client requirements.
  • Especially seeking highly motivated, creative team players.

Inside Sales/Estimating

Job Description: Full time inside sales/estimating position available Great starting pay with excellent benefits. Previous sales experience and knowledge of the construction industry a plus, but not required. Applicant must have good communication skills, some experience with computers, and be able to work the hours of 7 AM to 5PM Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:

  • Well developed communication skills
  • Some computer and math skills required.
  • Previous sales experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of drafting and ability to read blueprints a plus.

Truss Technician (entry level)

Job Description: The position requires the reading and interpretation of construction blueprints and the design of roof and floor truss layouts and individual trusses on proprietary software. A truss technician will be in charge of producing accurate documentation for bidding, fabrication, permit and jobsite purposes. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with customers, engineers and architects to establish efffective coordination in order to ensure detail accuracy between all parties involved.

Qualifications:

  • Strong math skills required.
  • Knowledge of drafting, AutoCAD a plus.
  • Ability to visualize in three dimensions.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Architectural background preferred.
  • Well developed communication skills.
